Cold Case: Brittney Briggs Was Murdered Nearly a Decade Ago

Who killed Brittney Briggs? The young mother was found strangled to death in her own home, left to be discovered by her three-year-old daughter who was in the home at the time of the murder. This Las Vegas cold case is nearing a decade old, but her loved ones are still begging for answers and justice.

According to reports, the body of the 24-year-old woman was discovered in her bedroom in her home on Spindrift Court. Her daughter, who was three-years-old at the time, was found crying near her body. The child, named Nadine, told authorities that someone had put a blanket over her face and told her to be quiet the night her mother was murdered.

None of the evidence or circumstances of Briggs’ death point to any publicly known suspects or persons of interest. However, it must be noted that there were no signs of forced entry upon the discovery of the slain woman’s body. This heavily implies that whomever killed Brittney Briggs was either known and trusted enough to have easy access to the home — or it was someone that Brittney let into her home the night she was murdered. This could have been an acquaintance or someone she had just met. It could have even been a neighbor. Unfortunately, detectives haven’t figured out who killed this young woman over the course of the nearly 10 years that her case has been cold.

Will the family of Brittney Briggs ever get the closure they deserve?
